Some Montreal en Francais movement - a spin-off of the racist Societe St-Jean Baptiste - conducted a survey in 2008 that found that unilingual Quebec francophones (yes unbelievably that in 2008 they exist !) had more trouble finding work at downtown Montreal retailers than unilingual anglophones.
Retail Montreal... tourists... english-speaking tourists... get it.
Of course they're calling for a law to discriminate against the unilingual anglophones because in their self-serving, fanatical, anti-civil liberties minds that's righteous.
You don't get rights by stealing them from others like similar franco-centric groups have been trying to do for over 3 decades and ruining our Great City in the process, so that a handful of people, that have been over several generations too lazy to learn a second language, can wave some flag and march around whining.

Montreal man fined $455. for feeding squirrel

A Montreal man fined $455 for feeding a squirrel in a Westmount park said he'll fight legal action taken against him.
Bruce Kert, who also had an arrest warrant issued against him, vows to get his day in court to end the legal tangle that snared him two years ago, after he threw peanuts at a squirrel during one of his regular long walks through the affluent Montreal neighbourhood. It's illegal to feed squirrels in Westmount.
Kert was walking through a park area when he came upon some peanuts on the ground, and "threw them at a squirrel," he recounted in an interview with CBC News.
A public security officer with the city of Westmount caught him in the act, and issued him a $75 fine under a 1912 bylaw (257, section 16-C).
He didn't pay the fine on the grounds he was going to contest it.
But when he went to the local courthouse he discovered the ticket has ballooned to $455 because he had missed his court date, he said.
Authorities had also issued a warrant for his arrest.
The fine is a bit obsessive and petty, Kert said. "If somebody goes out with big bags, and deliberately does it every day, then I could see it being a problem," he said. "But someone who just does it once in a while, it is no big deal."
The bylaw is rarely enforced for single-time offences, but aims to keep large-scale offenders in check, said Westmount public security Sgt. David Sedgwick. "We get people coming in the parks with bags of bread and nuts, it creates a mess, and also attracts other vermin," he said.
Kert received a stay of conviction and a new court date for January.

Montreal... stupid bicycle lane on de Maisonneuve boulevard and elsewhere
Phew.
Remove an entire lane of parking for cars so that 12 bicycles can ride along per day. Less in Montreal's 6 month freezing winter.
So now the cars can't find parking so they drive around and around and around... great for pollution, no?
No one that matters goes to work on a fucking bicycle !
What are we... a population of 12 year olds and granolas??????
A bicycle that costs nothing, pays no taxes, creates no employment, gets in the way of traffic once outside its protected lane etc etc
And people will still use their cars... BECAUSE THEY CAN SMOKE... GET IT FOOLS?????

The stupid Quebec Government Winter Tire Law
Oh boy...
What a juicy one.
Stupid beyond stupid.
Hundreds of thousands of car drivers in Quebec now have to get 4 additonal tires, an often additoonal rims to match, formal winter tires (unsafe on dry roads by most standards, basically defeating the basic argument even more, dry roads accounting for 90% of winter driving by the way) because some cockeyed research showed that approx. in 32% of road accidents in winter, those cars had four season tires (which we've been driving on for 40 years)... assholes!!!!!! the other 68% were driving on formal winter tires !!!!! Get rid of those!!!!!!!
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
PLUS... the damnable Quebec government is flagrantly manufacturing a classic tax grab (tire tax, part of the price the consumer pays) - a license to print money for them of course. And another one to dispose of the damn things. Do the math its scary.
Bastards.
PLUS... lots of people can't afford to own 8 tires and rims etc > Punish the middle-class as usual...
PLUS... what we really need ecologically is another 2 or 3 million fucking tires floating around !!!
PLUS... winter tires on dry roads burn more gas... > more pollution and well gas isn't expensive enough with the disgusting additional tax Quebec puts on every liter of gas > more tax grab... (Shit in Montreal we're too stupid to be allowed to trun right on a red light like the rest of the freaking world... burning more useless gas... creating more tax revenue... see my point?) It has nothing to do with freaking public safety... believing that only confirms you're part of the shallow end of the gene pool.

Basically the Quebec government hates and mistreats its citizens and should be drawn and quartered in public squares like in medieval times. The municipal government in Montreal is no better. A bunch of clowns and pretenders, systematically ruining this great city, day by day.
Oh and fuck the Montreal Grand Prix... A $100 million or more in rights to Bernie Ecclestone for the rights... screw him... we have had thousands of reasons for tourists to come... who gives a good god damn about some elitist 3 day event except for the stupid idle rich, a few hotel, bar and restaurant owners and the elite car manufacturers... (I say have had thousands of reasons since the Tremblay and Quebec 'government' seems bent on eliminating them daily.)
Let's face it... Quebec is the tax province.
No one should live here, no business should operate here. New businesses stay away, you've been warned. This usurious province simply doesn't deserve it. The Quebec government is a whore.
